Question by OJ: doubling recipes?
i know some recipes cant be doubled, but can anyone explain why i cant seem to double pizza dough as well as single batch? or why muffin recipe from box doesnt work if i x2?

Answer by andie0910I've had the same problem with baked goods. I think its because baking is an exact science and requires specific measurements to work well. Doubling it throws everything off and may require some adjustments that home cooks don't necessarily know
